Now what you are really waiting for: Pictures from last night's game!!
We were on the third base line past third base so I couldn't get a good picture of Joe Mauer catching, but he did do his pre-game warm-up stretches right in front of my section!
Brad Radke throws the ceremonial first pitch. He did pretty well for a guy who's been retired since September!
Paris Bennett sang the national anthem. She was a top-10 finalist last season on American Idol for anyone who doesn't watch much FOX.
Security tackles a man who ran out on the field during the 8th inning. He did a pretty good job running around - it took several minutes before he was tackled. This also happened right in front of us.
Totally random, but it snowed today. The poor ducks just sat out there for a while hoping it would stop and when I went to get my camera they had hidden somewhere so I couldn't get a picture of ducks in the snow. It's actually sticking too which is the scary part.

This is the God’s honest truth. Before I read the caption, the first thing I thought the security tackle picture was of a Mormon huddle. I figure they were out in center field trying to determine the best way to convert the entire crowd. O the South…
Oh Erin - GET OUT!!
I was just being honest! :'(
Sorry, I meant get out of the corrupting influence of the South. I didn't doubt that that was your first thought.
Thanks for the Mauer pictures! The Twins are only down here once this season so I only have 2 chances to see Mauer this year. :-( The third game in the series is a Wenesday afternoon game.
Karin is there any games you don't like?
Board games, rec sports, or professional sports?
Any and all,you can even include mind games if you like.
No no, minds are needed for mind games. Sorry. I'm not sure anyone is qualified for that.
There are games I like less than others, but I'm pretty much open to anything. I don't really watch much hockey (although I do enjoy a live game) and I think Risk is boring. Playing cutthroat Monopoly with your son is a little annoying too.
They are nasty Monopoly players aren't they? When Pat, Marvin and I were kids we used to play Monopoly and we would spend all afternoon at it, even quit and finish it the next day and enjoyed it. Then I played with Nick & Co. and it was way to wicked.
That's how our games as kids were too - very relaxed and peaceful. We could play over three days. There was always eventually a winner. This three-hour game is completely foreign to me. Jeff must have taught them to play like that.
